WEC champ Carlos Condit joins Arizona Combat Sports |

WEC welterweight champion Carlos Condit has joined the growing collection of wrestling stand-outs and MMA fighters at Arizona Combat Sports.
MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) recently confirmed the transition with Jason Genet, president of LG Sports Marketing.
Condit will now train with fellow WEC champion Jamie Varner, as well as the UFC"s C.B. Dolloway and Ryan Bader.
Condit is currently riding an impressive eight-fight win streak, including five straight since joining the WEC. All eight wins have come via submission or TKO, and the list of defeated opponents includes Hiromitsu Miura, Carlo Prater, Brock Larson and John Alessio.
Trevor Lally, owner of Arizona Combat Sports, anticipates that the collaboration of Condit and WEC lightweight champion Varner will see an improvement in both fighters.
“Carlos is a champion at heart,” Lally stated. “He spars and trains like a champion, and we think Varner and Condit together will only help each fighter get better.”
Condit last fought in August at WEC 35. His next fight has not yet been announced by the organization.
Condit and former EliteXC champion Jake Shields are widely considered by most MMA pundits to be the only two 170-pound fighters in the world"s top-10 not employed by the UFC.
Based in Tempe, Ariz., Arizona Combat Sports has garnered recent national attention with the successful endeavors of Dolloway and Bader on Spike TV"s “The Ultimate Fighter,” as well as Varner"s February upset of then-champion “Razor” Rob McCullough. Condit"s addition to the academy"s roster will enhance the group"s already impressive reputation.
