Nuggets’ Hunter has knee surgery

DENVER (AP)—Denver Nuggets center Steven Hunter was expected to be sidelinedat least 12 weeks after arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Friday.

Hunter had the surgery at the Steadman-Hawkins Clinic in Vail.

Hunter has had a chronic knee problem that was aggravated in training camp.

The Nuggets acquired Hunter from Philadelphia last season in a trade thatsent forward Reggie Evans to the 76ers.
